When you keep a positive attitude, expect the best, and wear a smile on your face, every day becomes a wonderful and amazing day.

Another wonderful and amazing day. Life is good. No. Life is great. Each day I’m here I feel blessed and thankful for being given this amazing experience. One I never thought I’d have. Can’t wipe the smile off my face.
Breakfast buffet at the hotel again with my brother and sister-in-law. We were laughing yesterday that we’ve seen more of each other while over here than we have in the past year at home. That must be corrected. While in England one thing I had wanted to try was a Full English. Not much of a Full English but the closest I came. I just couldn’t eat all that big breakfast early in the morning.

One last day of London adventures.
Started the day on a Hop On Hop Off Bus. Lots of room so we sat on the top. We saw some places we had seen on Wednesday but also new ones. It was a surprise to see the Kings Guard Horsemen. I couldn’t get a picture but found this online.

Today saw:
10 Downing Street, National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Chinatown, Piccadilly Circus, Royal Academy of Arts, and Hyde Park before our first stop.
Harrods

What a store. Outstanding chocolate and food sections. Individual designer sections. This was the first store I’ve ever been in that had a private shopping floor. Imagine how rich you must be to shop there.

Remember ‘Expect the Unexpected’? Oh yes. But not as bad as before. Was looking forward when I noticed many buses pulled off to the side and numerous flashing blue lights in front of them. Oh no. All I could think of was that we weren’t going to make it to our High Tea reservation. But what a bus driver we had. Slick as anything he turned us around and maneuvered us through streets to get back on tract. Wow.
Drove by V&A Museum, Natural History Museum, Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace, Nottingham Hill Gate, and Marble Arch.
Then hopped off the bus and walked to Claridge’s.
So yes. We made it to High Tea. My Mothers Day gift.
What a hotel. Three doormen. What?

I couldn’t imagine a better High Tea. Champagne. Sandwiches. Scones with jam and clotted cream (to die for) and sweet pastries. Even brought Kathryn a plate of vegetarian sandwiches and sweets. Unbelievable.

Many choices of tea.
I chose
MALAWI ANTLER
Rather than being made from the leaves of the
tea bush, this unspeakably rare tea is made only from the velvety stems of its finely plucked spring shoots. These ‘antlers’ wonderfully express the earth of Malawi. In the same way that a wine has its terroir, a combination of factors give this single estate tea its unique flavours. Only a few kilos of Malawi Antler can be produced each year. The tea is soft and sweet with rich lychee and apricot flavours.
MALAWI ANTLER is one of the world’s most sought after teas. Consequently, Claridge’s is one of just two places in the world where you will find it served.
It was delicious. Light and refreshing.
What blew my mind was the server asking us if we wanted more. More? Totally stuffed. We didn’t eat all that was there.
Then back to our hotels. I needed it. My feet and ankles had never been so swollen. (Except when I was pregnant.) Days of walking and not enough water will do that.
What a way to end the last day.
So much packed into a few days. I’m so happy. It was such a fantastic trip.
