SHOP TILL YOU DROP

Shopping is always a good idea.

And that’s what I did.

Shopping for most of the day. Didn’t buy very much but had a great time looking.

Hey. Fantastic news. No issues on the Tube today. I’ll take it.

Went to a few smaller stores and then hit two big ones.

First: Marks & Spencer

Had to go here. Heard so much about it.

Always fun to look in a new store. It was very pleasing to see that they carry larger women’s sizes. Doesn’t always happen. They also have a large food section. Interesting to see they stock similar and different items than we do.

Second: Selfridges

Totally different vibe here. Very up market. Loaded with designer products. Way out of my range. But not others. So many people shopping. Wow. Some people have a lot of money. Interesting to look at everything. But it was also overwhelming. So much there that it was hard on the head.

Went to a cute Italian restaurant for lunch, right in the store. Alto by San Carlo.

It’s the first time I’ve been to a restaurant with it’s own exclusive lift (elevator) with a person checking you have a reservation before being admitted into the lift.

Great ambiance. Food ok.

After so many days of walking and running I was happy to call an end to shopping and go back to the hotel.

Rested a bit and the met my brother and sister-in-law in the hotel restaurant while they had supper. I had my first cup of tea since I arrived. Ahhhh. They’ve been here since the first week of June as their daughter gets married tomorrow.

Off to supper at J. Sheekey French restaurant. Lovely. Forgot to take a picture of our food. Guess it was so delightful I forgot.

We even got to walk in the West End. No time to see a show this trip.

Now in for the night. 🥱 My feet approve. 😉 And another day of feeling blessed and grateful. ❤️
