Looks lovely doesn’t it.

This is what the sunrise was like two days ago on PEI. Beautiful right! So why am I leaving this glorious sight for three months? I’m not a fan of the cold. Well, if I’m really honest, I hate the cold. So in one week Richard and I are driving to the gulf coast of Alabama (Gulf Shores) for three months. We’ve rented a house on the beach. Our longest travel adventure together. Exciting!
I’m a list maker and super organized so I started about three months ago with my to do list:
*Three month supply of my prescriptionsThanks @ShopprsDrugMart.
*Three month supply of my favourite face products @Quannessence
*Health/travel insurance my retired teacher’s plan. Richard’s is through @CAA.
*Mobile phone plan for the United States and Canada I have mine with @Bell and the customer service rep made it an easy process and it’s not too expensive an add-on. Richard’s with @koodo.
*US bank account and visa card plus linking them to my Canadian accounts That makes the mobile banking much easier. I used @RBC as that’s where I have my Canadian accounts. This was a lot easier than I imagined. Erika at my local branch helped me get it all set up and linked. Fantastic!
*Copies of imp. documents I’m taking one copy with me and leaving one with a family member-just in case.
*Health directives (a precautionary measure)
*Suspend my @SiriusXM account for my car as it’s staying home They won’t suspend for shorter than six months so that’s what I did but when I return to PEI they said I can call and have it reinstated. Sweet.
*Hair formula for colouring my hair I could not go three months without having my hair done! My hair stylist Jason at @The Style gave me some useful tips: find a hair salon that uses my products (mine is @Redkin) and when I first arrive at my destination make an appt for just a wash and dry. That way I can get a feel for the salon and know if I feel comfortable having them cut and colour my hair. I also had him take photos of hair-front, back, and sides to show the salon. Trying to cover all the bases.
*Create a packing list I’ll discuss this in my next post.
*Peace of mind service check Richard had this done on his car as well as having four new all season tires installed. We need to have a well running vehicle for this long trip.
Looking now at this list I’m torn between thinking that we’ve done a lot and that we haven’t done much at all. Guess I’ll soon know.
What an adventure……. so very happy for you and Richard!!! Safe travel next week!! 😘
